I have been working from home for over 15 years and do a number of different businesses because I love the variety. Also, when I had a traditional job (I was a designer) I was made redundant 3 times in 12 years so it’s made me wary of relying on just one income stream.
Before I share lots of home based business ideas with you, here’s what I do. Firstly I make money with network marketing. I have done this, part-time, for more than 13 years and it’s my main income. That business is the reason I was able to leave my full-time job, and the rat-race! So, I’m very thankful for it and along the way I have helped many others do the same so that’s very rewarding.
I also make money on the internet. This was a very steep learning curve for me but well worth all the effort. I make money from websites I have built among other ways.
I’m also a Name Analyst and Feng Shui consultant which are a nice contrast with the other businesses.
People assume I must be really busy all the time, but I’m as busy as I choose to be. These days the networking business only takes up a few days a month. The name analysis and feng shui are very part time. And with my websites, once they are built my time is spent researching more ways to make money online!
So, that gives you a taster of what I do, but what can you do?
I always want to enjoy what I do, while also being able to make a good income. Is that important to you? If so, write a list of what your interests are. Could be sport, beauty, socialising, making stuff, the internet, writing, looking after animals or kids or just making money!
Do you want to work part time or full time because again that will influence what choices you have?
